Good Afternoon,

I hope everyone is well!  I wanted to introduce myself and the other coaches for 14U and provide you with a little information.  First, my name is Caleb Jacobs and I have been coaching lacrosse for 2 years but have also coached hockey for many years.  I started coaching when my daughter started playing lacrosse and fell in love with the sport.  My daytime occupation is as a RN Simulation Educator and have been a nurse for 17 years (most of which was in the pediatric ER).  That's enough about me, but my contact info is below.

There will be 3 other coaches working with your athletes this season that include Paul Esteves, who is  the 12U girls Head Coach and is the current VP of Girls Lacrosse.  Next, Elizabeth Anderson in her first year of coaching, but has been a schoolteacher for many years.  Finally, Todd Friedrich, in his first year of coaching lacrosse, but has many years of coaching soccer.  We are also fortunate to a couple of other coaches help us from time to time that include Mikie Schlosser from the PLL and Brandon Keller of Sacramento Netminders will be helping with goalies.

A little bit of information for you...we will be practicing Monday and Wednesday nights at John Kemp Park, field #1 (furthest away from the sports complex) from 6:30-8:30 every week.  There is also an OPTIONAL practice on Fridays from 6-7 at Livermore Field, at which we will be scrimmaging the entire time.  On practice days we ask that your athlete arrives about 10 minutes early to finish getting dressed and ready to warm up.

The next thing that I would like to tell you about is our wall ball incentive program for the season.  There is an app called SNYPR that counts the repetitions that your athletes make playing wall ball or catch with a friend through their phone.  We are asking your athlete to get the app and get at least 500 reps per week.  The incentive program will be for those achieving the most reps for each week, each month, and for the season.  We will be giving away prizes to the top achiever and I would like to ask for your help with donations so that we can do this without paying too much out of our pockets.  The prizes that we would like to be able to award are a practice ball (Swax Lax) each week, a private lesson with Mikie each month, and a new Gait Air 2 stick for the season prize.  If each family was willing to donate $25 we will reach our goals.  If you would like, you can Venmo me at @Caleb-Jacobs-13.  You may also give any of the coaches cash or a check.  Thank you so very much for considering the donation, it means a lot to the girls to win something meaningful!  You will need 2 codes for the app.  The first is the Folsom Lacrosse Association code: 68825.  The other code is for the 12U team specifically, which is: 01052

Finally, I would like to introduce our Team Managers Nargis Rahn and Joan Arthur.  You will be hearing from them shortly and each week when we get to the game portion of the season with updates and additional information.

Thank you for taking time to read this long email and for letting us help to develop your athlete.

Best,

Coach Caleb, P: (708) 613-1459 text works best, email: caleb_jacobs@outlook.com
