Please log into the 8U Volunteer Signup to fill the 1 open position:

If anyone has a child (non 8U player) who is interested in volunteering at a game, we welcome and appreciate the additional support! Here are a few guidelines:

  • Temperature takers and side line managers must be at least 16 years old.
  • Table support (score keeper, game clock) is adults only.
  • Field setup/teardown can be done for 12 years and older, with adult supervision.

  • Require face coverings for all volunteers, coaches, and spectators* at all times.
  • Require players and officials to wear a face covering at all times, as tolerated
  • Definition of “as tolerated” for players: the individual may move the face covering to below their chin and get a drink or catch their breath. They then must immediately return the face covering to cover their nose and mouth. This should be brief.
  • Definition of “as tolerated” for Officials: the individual may remove the face covering to perform key functions of officiating: blow whistle, run along outside the play where social distancing can be maintained, etc. They will wear the face covering when setting up the face off or draw, meetings, equipment checks, and all other times when not on the field.
  • Require that spectators maintain social distance on the sidelines
  • Stay home when appropriate: Players, parents, and coaches should stay home when they are showing signs of COVID-19, have a temperature, or have had close contact with a person with COVID-19.
  • Players are permitted to have only immediate family members (or those living in the same household) on site with them.

End-of-Season Party Update
by posted 04/27/2021

Good morning 8U LAX families!

I am sending the below update about the end-of-season party at the request of Sean Moncalieri. Please contact Sean directly regarding the event.

Brittney Ryan

Dear parents:

I am providing an update since my last email. We have minimal attendance for the May 15 after- season party at Castle Park, Folsom, which is understandable more than likely due to COVID concerns. I am happy to announce the party is still happening. Those who have already paid/RSVP’d will have their child receive their souvenirs and gift bags on party day.  I am hoping all can make it but if not, I can make alternative arrangements for your player to receive their 2021 LAX souvenir.  I am finishing the model of the souvenir as they are not prefabricated; and although they are handmade, the more ordered by families, the less cost for personal out of pocket expenses there is from me to make these for the team. Your donations are very much appreciated but unfortunately not every player will receive one if a donation isn’t received on behalf of your child by COB 04/30/21.

It has come to my attention there is parental concern about COVID and having a party where I have to adjust fire.  The party will still go on for those wanting to attend and just know it’s not a requirement. We are no longer having a potluck theme nor will I be grilling up chicken, burgers or dogs due to concerns of food preparation with COVID. The food will now be prepared by employees from COSTCO as we are now only having pizza and sealed beverages from one location. In following the CDC and local guidance on distancing and wearing masks in open public spaces, your family and player will, nonetheless, be safe to attend.

For those not attending the 15th party, if you’re still wanting your child to remember the season with a souvenir-trophy for their time on U8, I will be accepting payments of $20 for the trophy only. As a reminder, we can schedule a pick up time after the 15th for your child to receive their souvenir from those not attending the end of season gathering. The reduced cost is to help ensure every player gets a souvenir if you’re not wanting to attend the party or assist in donating for plaques. For those not attending the party and/or haven’t paid to date, I am requesting a minimum of $5 to help me with the costs associated with making the coaches handmade plaques who have volunteered many hours to guide, coach and mentor our children through this unique season.
Orders and payments will be accepted NLT April 30, 2021. Let’s show our appreciation to the coaches who made this happen for our awesome players.

My contact info is   and 916.899.2290 if you have any questions, comments or concerns.

8U LAX End-of-Season Party
by posted 04/10/2021

Hello Folsom U8 LAX Families,
My name is Sean Moncalieri and I am the team party/awards coordinator. I have coordinated with our Team Manager, Brittney Ryan, and we have decided in having an end of season BBQ gathering on Saturday, May 15 @ 1100-1400 at the Folsom Kids Play and Castle Park, 201 Prewett Dr, Folsom, CA 95630.  This is the day after our last game.
I am asking for $30 donations for each child to assist with the kids “2021 LAX souvenirs”, coaches plaques, player gift bags and then party food: chicken, burgers, dogs, buns, condiments and beverages, etc.  I understand $30 may be steep, but I promise you and your players will not be disappointed with their pandemic participation souvenir, gift bags and the party itself. Please have your players bring their sticks/balls as there is plenty of space to play.
Donations can be accepted via Apple Pay, Cash App, Venmo, or cash itself. Depending on how you want to provide your donation, I’ll give you my Venmo/Cash App moniker, as requested and Apple Pay can be done through texting. If you are unable to donate, please let me know ASAP.
Please RSVP me by April 24th so I can get a good head count for party logistics and preparation purposes.  After RSVP’s are received, I will be asking for attendees to bring pot luck items to finish out the catering and I will send out the list to all with what items are being brought keeping in mind of those who may have food allergies.  If your player cannot make the gathering, please contact me to make arrangements for your child to receive his/her team souvenir and gift bag.
Any questions, comments or concerns please do not hesitate in contacting me at   or 916.899.2290.
This will be a fun end-of-season farewell and celebration of our children being able to finally get out and enjoy team sport activities during this pandemic.

Update: Temperature Taker
by posted 04/01/2021

Hi Team!

There has been a change to the time commitment for the temperature taker volunteer role. We want to make sure that nobody misses watching their child play a game, so the job has been split into four 20 minute shifts (per game). Many hands make light work!

This change has created 12 more volunteer shifts that need to be filled, so please be sure to check the 8U VolunteerSignup sheet and find a date and time that works for you.

The temperature taker is a new volunteer role this year due to COVID-19 protocols. We will continue to assess how things are going and are willing to make course corrections as needed.

Thank you for supporting our awesome 8U players!

Game Schedule & Volunteer Sign-Ups
by posted 03/21/2021

Hi Team!

Welcome to Folsom Co-Ed 8U Soft Lacrosse! My name is Brittney Ryan and I am your Team Manager. My son Cole is playing lacrosse for the first time this year, and our family is looking forward to a great season for the kids and getting to know each of you.

I wanted to let you know that the game schedule has been posted on To see the schedule, go to Teams Information/Choose A Team/Co-Ed 8U Soft Lacrosse. Our first game is this Friday, March 26, 6:15 pm at Livermore Field.

The volunteer positions for each game have been posted to the Volunteer Signup site at We need volunteers to do the game clock, tear down after each home game, and an end-of-season party planner. As a reminder, parents agree to volunteer 6 hours during the season, so please find a position and game day that works for you and sign-up. Our collective efforts will help ensure a fun and smooth season for the kids!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to share a few housekeeping items regarding COVID protocols. Temperatures will be taken at games and anyone with a temp over 100.3 will be asked to leave, only immediate family members (same household) may attend games, everyone should wear a mask, and families should sit six feet apart from one another.

As Team Manager I will be in regular communication with all of you to confirm game information and ensure we have our volunteer positions filled. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions on my cell at 916-934-8897, or via email at .

Here’s to a great season of lacrosse! GO FALCONS!
