City League 1st-4th Grade
City League is a beginner's league that emphasizes having fun while teaching the basics of the game of lacrosse. It is a developmental program that is made up of 1st through fourth grade players.
Ages
Appropriate players for 8U Co-Ed are 1st or 2nd graders. Appropriate players for 10U are 3rd or 4th graders.
When
Practices will start in mid-late February and continue through mid-May.
Where
Practices and home games are held at the either Livermore Park Field or John Kemp Park field 1 or 2. Away games are held locally (El Dorado Hills, Fair Oaks, Granite Bay, Sacramento, etc.).
Practices
Practices will start in mid-late February. 10U typically practices twice a week. Check your team page for practice times and location.
Games
10U games are four 10-minute quarters. All games will be held on Fridays (late afternoons/early evenings) starting in early to mid-March. There are no games during Spring Break (FCUSD schools). The season will end before Memorial Day Weekend in May. All games will be played locally.
Jerseys
Club jerseys are required and are included with the cost of registration.

Registration typically opens in September. Registration fees below.
8U - $210.00 (early bird) or $260.00 (regular).
10U - $210.00 (early bird) or $260.00 (regular) + US LACROSSE annual membership ($30) is required of all players in FYL.
Equipment
8U Co-Ed Equipment Requirements
- Lacrosse Stick (if you have not yet purchased see the links below for recommendations). If you do not have a stick prior to the first day of practice, please email president@folsomlacrosse.org
- Water
- Cleats (soccer or lacrosse, no metal or baseball cleats)
- Athletic Wear (shorts/sweatpants and if cold dress in layers)
- Boys Only - an athletic supporter (cup)
10U Boys Equipment Requirements
Spring 2026
Welcome to registration for the 2026 season. We are fielding 8U Co-Ed (1st and 2nd grades), 10U Girls and 10U Boys teams (3rd and 4th grades) .
Registration Fees for 8U and 10U teams are $210.00 until 11/30/25. Thereafter, the fee will be $260.00. If you register after the season begins, please reach out to treasurer@folsomlacrosse.org for a prorated fee schedule.
If you have multiple children playing in the FLA, you are entitled to a discount. You will receive $25.00 off for the second child, $50.00 for the third, and $75.00 for the fourth. Please reach out to treasurer@folsomlacrosse.org for questions.
Please ensure your child has been registered with USA Lacrosse before completing registration here. You will need to your child's USA Lacrosse number to register. Please read each registration page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.
